When Jens walks in she is ready to rock’n roll. She is a very fun person to work with and she is no stranger to the camera, which helps me as a photographer. We spent several days leading up to this session, discussing ideas, looking at examples, and figuring out lighting diagrams. The results surely show the amount of work and planning that we had done ahead of time. At the end of the session we were proud of the  job we had done and I personally believe this is a turning point.

Kristy & Aiden

Sunday evening I got the opportunity to photograph little Aiden in the studio. This was my first time photographing a child and it was quite an experience. Aiden was more thrilled in checking out all of the interesting objects, especially the vacuum and floor jack. His mom had to keep chasing him around and putting him back in front of the backdrop, which he didn’t want to go. But not to worry mom had a secret weapon to get him to sit still for a while…Raisins! Then afterward we got him some blocks, drum sticks and a soccer ball to play with and he had a blast until the end of his session. Meanwhile this was all going on, I asked Aiden’s mom to take a few shots with Aiden, then towards the end of the session Aiden’s mom and I did some portraits for my class project.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is our seven year old Pomeranian who is just full of life. She just loves to visit everyone who walks in the front door of our home. She is a dog that cannot ignored, and will make every effort to be picked up and greeted. She is a very friendly dog and has been around strangers since she was a pup. She also loves to jump, which recently had devastating results. In just a single jump she fractured a bone in her leg and on that same leg she dislocated her knee. Her dislocation was so severe that it needed to be pinned back into place. She had to learn to get around with a splint for the past month. Splint is due to come off next Thursday and hopefully she will begin therapy. After all she has been through, it still doesn’t stop her from putting a smile on everyone’s face.
